Fortnite’s rune near Retail Row is now active, floating island involved

The Floating Island Continues to Cause Chaos in Fortnite: Battle Royale

The floating island in Fortnite: Battle Royale is wreaking havoc once again with the activation of another rune.

The rune located south of Retail Row has been affected, with the symbol now floating below the island after being ripped up from the ground. This marks the fourth Corrupted Area that has been impacted by the movement of Loot Lake island, which started over a week ago.

Since September 30, the island has activated a total of four runes, including the current one. The first target was near Pleasant Park, followed by Shifty Shafts. On October 6, the rune northwest of Fatal Fields underwent the same transformation as the others.

In addition to the rune symbol being pushed out of the ground by a wind vortex, there are now volcanic pits on the ground that can launch players into the air. The cube, which is embedded beneath Loot Lake island, also appears to be expanding across the floating island’s surface.

With each activated rune, larger pieces of the cube have been appearing in the house and underground sections of the floating island. Initially, the cube had minimal presence above ground level, but it now has several layers throughout the structure.

If the island follows its current pattern, the Retail Row rune will remain the main focus for several days before the symbol resets in the ground and the island begins moving toward another Corrupted Area.
