Fortnite’s Next Update to Boost Slurp Juice Effectiveness

Fornite’s Slurp Juice Healing Item to Receive Buff in 5.10 Update

The upcoming 5.10 update for Fortnite will bring a buff to the popular Slurp Juice healing item, according to a recent Reddit post by Epic Games.

Eric Williamson, the design lead for Fortnite, shared this news on Reddit, providing some details on the specific changes that will be made to Slurp Juice.

With the next update, Slurp Juice will now provide 75 points of healing, at a rate of two per second. It will prioritize healing HP first, and if the player’s health reaches maximum, it will then begin to heal Shield. For example, if a player has full health but no Shield, Slurp Juice will add 75 Shield. Similarly, if a player has 25 HP but 75 Shield, it will heal the player to maximum HP.

Previously, Slurp Juice would grant one health and one shield per second for 25 seconds, resulting in a maximum of 25 health and shield. This change will make it even more useful for players who want to reach 100 health without using a med kit after using bandages to heal up to 75 health.

This Slurp Juice buff was initially suggested by a Fortnite fan on Reddit. However, the involvement of Epic employees in the comments section suggests that the development of this buff was already underway prior to the suggestion.

The 5.10 update is expected to launch this week, potentially on Tuesday or Thursday, and it may also introduce a new SMG called the Compact SMG. This Epic and Legendary version of the CQC gun appears to be modeled after the P90 personal defense weapon.
