The New Changes in Loot Lake After the v8.40 Fortnite Update
Loot Lake in Fortnite has undergone significant changes after the v8.40 update this morning.
What was once an excavation site has now transformed into a futuristic facility connecting the two sides of the lake. The center of the facility features a massive metal hatch that cannot be opened, and several research buildings now surround the area.

Unfortunately, this change has negatively impacted players who relied on Loot Lake for loot during the early stages of the game. All the chests that were previously present in the area have now vanished, making it a less desirable location for finding valuable items.
