Fortnite’s Latest Update Introduces Port-a-Fortress and New Playground Item

Epic Games has once again taken down Fortnite’s servers in the early morning hours, which can only mean one thing – an update is on the way.

The latest update, 5.41, is a minor one and focuses on the addition of a new item called the Port-a-Fortress. This throwable item is essentially a larger version of the Port-a-Fort and comes with built-in bounce pads. It is classified as Legendary rarity, meaning it can only be found in vending machines, chests, supply drops, and llamas.

In a first for Fortnite, Epic Games has introduced an item exclusively for Playground mode. The new consumable, called Spiky Stadium, allows players to build a stadium full of damage traps and bounce pads in a seven-by-11 size.

Epic Games expressed their excitement over the creativity shown by players in Playground mode and are eager to see what players create as they continue to expand and develop the future of creative mode in Fortnite.

The rest of the update mainly consists of bug fixes and minor changes. One notable change is that the experiment of end-game storms damaging structures has now come to an end, although no explanation was provided in the patch notes for this adjustment.

Stay tuned for more information about what the 5.41 update has in store in the upcoming days. For the full patch notes, visit Epic’s website.
