Fortnite’s Latest Update Introduces Old LTMs through 14 Days of Fortnite Event

Fortnite 7.10 Update Arrives Despite Delay Announcement

The highly anticipated 7.10 update for Fortnite has been released today, surprising fans who were expecting a delay. Despite previous announcements from developer Epic Games, the update is now live and brings a host of new features and improvements.

14 Days of Fortnite Event

Fortnite is celebrating the holiday season with the 14 Days of Fortnite event. During this special event, the game map will receive a festive makeover and certain items, like the Grenade Launcher, will have a unique appearance.

In addition, Epic has confirmed that the 14 Days of Fortnite event will feature both new and returning Limited Time Modes. These modes will rotate in and out over the course of 14 days, with big team modes lasting two days and small team modes lasting one day.

The event will kick off tomorrow at 8 am CT, although Epic has not yet announced which modes will be available initially.

Weapon and Item Changes

The Heavy Assault Rifle has received some adjustments in the 7.10 update. It is now weaker when fired without aiming down sights, with reduced base accuracy. However, the accuracy when aiming down sights and the weapon’s recoil have been increased.

No other weapons have been added, vaulted, or changed in this update.

Gameplay Changes

The X-4 Stormwing plane has received an increase in explosion damage from 25 to 50. The plane also now takes more damage when destroying structures while flying through them, reducing its overall destructive power. No bug fixes for the plane have been mentioned.

Ziplines, a new map element, have been plagued with bugs. However, Epic has made multiple modifications to improve their reliability.

Events

The Explorer Pop-Up Cups material caps have been reverted back to 500/500/500, instead of the current 700/500/300 for wood/stone/metal. Epic has also added new dates for these cups and Friday Night Fortnite.

In addition to these changes, Epic has made various performance, audio, and user interface improvements in the game.
