Fortnite’s latest Hunting Party skin disappoints, echoing previous lackluster seasons

Hunting Party Skin Unveiled in Fortnite: Battle Royale Datamine

In the latest datamine of the Fortnite: Battle Royale v6.22 patch, the highly anticipated Hunting Party skin has been discovered. This skin, granted to players who complete seven out of ten weeks of battle pass challenges, features a robot character reminiscent of Bastion and Zenyatta from Overwatch. Named “A.I.M.,” the skin has a Legendary rarity and pays homage to the term “aimbot,” commonly used for aim assist cheats.

Backbling and Kill Tracker

The Hunting Party skin comes with a unique backbling that showcases the number of kills acquired in a single game. This added feature adds more depth to the skin and enhances the overall gameplay experience.

Underwhelming Rewards

However, some players have expressed disappointment with the Hunting Party skin. Compared to other skins in the item shop and later tiers of the battle pass, such as The Visitor and The Enforcer, A.I.M. feels lackluster. The simplistic design and inclusion of sweatpants have been met with mixed reactions. Epic Games could have introduced more visually appealing and exciting skins given the effort required to unlock them through weekly challenges.

Challenging Task for Players

Completing the battle pass challenges for seven weeks can be a time-consuming task for players. The recent addition of progressive challenges and location-specific tasks, like finding multiple chests in distant points of interest, have made the process even more tedious. This has made the acquisition of the Hunting Party skin more challenging and less satisfying for some players.

Looking ahead, fans hope that Epic Games will deliver a more enticing mystery skin in season seven to make up for the underwhelming rewards of the past three seasons.
