Fortnite’s Floating Island Returns to Leaky Lake

The Mysterious Purple Cube in Fortnite Continues its Journey

The story of the giant, purple cube in Fortnite: Battle Royale took an interesting turn today as the cube started moving again after a brief pause.

Earlier this week, the cube-empowered floating island in Fortnite activated the final rune near Dusty Divot. In the past 48 hours, each of the other six symbols has been getting closer to the floating island.

Today, the runes that were floating near the island fell back to the ground near Dusty Divot. And now, the floating island is once again on the move, seemingly heading back towards Leaky Lake.

It’s clear that Epic Games has something major planned for this cube-empowered island as it has been causing chaos on the Fortnite map for the past few weeks. However, what exactly will happen as the floating island continues to explore the map remains unknown.

During season six, it took three days for the floating island to reach its destination after activating each rune. Since the seventh rune was activated on Friday, it is possible that this island could trigger another event in Fortnite as early as Sunday.
