Fortnite’s Exclusive Gamescom Spray Reaches Up to $150 in Online Market

Fortnite Spray Codes Selling for High Prices Online

Gamescom 2018 is currently taking place and attendees were treated to a Fortnite-themed amusement park in one of the halls. This park offered various challenges and prizes, including a free battle pass and an exclusive purple pixel llama spray for Fortnite fans.

For those who couldn’t attend the event, the hunt for the spray code began online. However, finding a reasonable price has proven to be difficult. Listings on reselling websites like eBay have seen prices skyrocketing.

The codes, which only include the spray and nothing else, have been selling for around $150 U.S. each, with some lower-priced options around $80. It’s worth noting that this spray is one of two event exclusives revealed by Epic Games, with another spray set to launch at PAX West later this month.

This overpricing of codes may not come as a surprise to some. In July, items given out at the PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds Global Invitational 2018 reached prices as high as $650 for the complete set.

As prices for the spray continue to climb, we can only hope that the PAX West sprays don’t become as overpriced. However, it’s likely that collectors will still be willing to pay top dollar. So, if you’re a Fortnite fan with a desire for this exclusive spray, it may be time to break open that piggy bank.
