Fortnite: Battle Royale Update 4.5 adds Exciting New Content
The latest update for Fortnite: Battle Royale, version 4.5, has introduced fresh content to the popular game. However, players have discovered even more exciting releases hidden within the game’s files.
In addition to a range of new cosmetics and a brand new weapon, data miners have uncovered a new limited time mode and a possible return of a highly sought-after skin.
The upcoming limited time mode, discovered by @FNBRLeaks on Twitter, is called Fly Explosives. This game mode combines jetpacks with the High Explosives LTM, allowing players to soar through the skies while causing chaos with rockets and grenades from above.
Another exciting discovery is the new skin for a pickaxe found in the game’s files. Referred to as “Pickaxe-Flintlock-RedKnight,” this pickaxe matches the aesthetic of the Red Knight skin, which was previously available for a limited time during the winter. However, it hasn’t been seen in the in-game store since February 20.
There is speculation that the inclusion of this new pickaxe means the return of the Red Knight outfit to the store, possibly as part of a bundle that completes the entire Red Knight set.
Epic Games has a history of adding to cosmetic sets after release. In fact, in today’s 4.5 update, the developer added back bling to both the Venturion and Ventura skins, hinting at the possibility of a full Red Knight set appearing in the store in the near future.
