Fortnite’s 5.21 Update Reveals New Limited Time Mode in Data
Fortnite’s latest update, version 5.21, has been datamined and a new limited time mode called Velocity has been discovered in the game’s files. This mode is similar to the new Soaring 50’s mode introduced in today’s update, but Velocity will be available for Solos, Duos, and Squads instead of 50 vs. 50. The information was found by @FNBRLeaks on Twitter.
“Velocity is a high-mobility limited time mode,” describes the LTM in the game files. “Gliders can be re-deployed when falling from large heights. Extra Impulse Grenades, Bounce Pads and ATKs will be spawned throughout the map. The storms move twice as fast. Get in and get moving!”
In both Velocity and Soaring 50’s modes, players can deploy their glider when in mid-air and above 10 meters by pressing the jump button. Additionally, there will be an increase in spawns for impulse grenades, bounce pads, and launch pads, making the gameplay fast-paced and energetic.
Although Epic Games has not officially announced or confirmed Velocity, since it is found in the game files, it is possible that it will be introduced to the game in the coming weeks. Currently, players can enjoy the Soaring 50’s mode and Sniper Showdown. Keep an eye out for more information about Velocity in the near future.
