Jachael shared a screenshot of his YouTube account’s monetization status, which states “Currently ineligible for monetization” and prevents him from applying for monetization again for a month. It’s unclear whether this was due to a third-party report or a process on the platform.

Jachael explained that he has been a YouTube partner for the past seven years, never receiving any strikes or having a video blocked. He believes that his demonetization is an error that needs to be fixed.

Jachael’s YouTube channel showcases his piano performances of various songs on Fortnite’s piano tiles located in the far east of the map. He combines the melody and harmony on the piano, while his character jumps on the tiles to play. Additionally, he incorporates the sounds of Fortnite’s different weapons to mimic percussion in the songs.

One of Jachael’s most celebrated works by the community is his rendition of Toto’s “Africa” played on Fortnite. Even an Epic employee praised it on Reddit. He has also published 13 videos of himself performing Fortnite dances.

Demonetization typically occurs when creators upload videos that they don’t have the copyrights to, regardless of whether it’s gaming content or other material. Depending on the severity of the copyright infringement, channels may be allowed to keep their videos up but could receive strikes and be forced to remove the infringing content.

Jachael, who is 19 years old, mentioned that while the money he earns from YouTube isn’t a major concern at the moment, it is his only source of income. He is still trying to understand why his channel was demonetized.

“I checked my emails in the afternoon and found an email from YouTube sent 12 hours prior, stating that monetization has been removed from my channel,” Jachael explained. “They claim it’s for ‘reusing content,’ but all my content is my own and original, so I’m not sure where they got that information.”

All of Jachael’s videos are still accessible on his channel, and he hopes to receive a resolution from YouTube soon.
