Summer Skirmish: Fortnite Battle Royale Tournaments with $8 Million Prize Pool
Summer Skirmish is a series of official Fortnite: Battle Royale tournaments over the next eight weeks. These tournaments feature a massive $8 million prize pool and attract some of the most talented and popular players in the world.
Today’s $250,000 Duos event is the first event in the Summer Skirmish series, organized by Epic Games, the game’s developer. To involve the growing esports community, Epic has invited community creators and highly-ranked players to compete in today’s event.

For this event, some of the top teams, including four-time Friday Fortnite champions Turner “Tfue” Tenney and Dennis “Cloak” Lepore, have been split up. The 50 competing teams will participate in 10 separate matches, and the team that wins two matches first will be declared the winner.

Unfortunately, today’s $250,000 Duos event had to be canceled prematurely after four matches due to major server issues.
