It’s Thursday, which means new challenges in Fortnite: Battle Royale.
In season five, the ultimate skin to get is Ragnarok, the tier 100 reward in the Battle Pass. This skin can be fully upgraded with various enhancements, and the only way to unlock it is by playing a lot of Fortnite or by completing all of your challenges with a more modest amount of gameplay.
Let’s take a look at this week’s challenges to see what’s in store for the game.
Free Challenges
Deal 1,000 damage to opponents with Assault Rifles – 5 Stars
These challenges are the best because you can continue to play the game as you normally would. Simply use Assault Rifles to deal damage to enemies, and you’ll eventually earn five Battle Stars.
Search 7 Ammo Boxes in a single match – 5 Stars
Ammo boxes can be found everywhere on the map. They are usually located inside buildings on shelves or in corners, as well as in the open world near cars in parking lots. The main challenge here will be staying alive long enough to find and loot seven ammo boxes.
Eliminate 3 opponents in Paradise Palms – 10 Stars
Paradise Palms, one of the game’s newest points of interest, has become a hot zone since its addition last week. It’s a cool area with lots to explore, so have some fun landing there for a few games and get your three kills.
Battle Pass Challenges
Score a basket on 5 different hoops – 5 Stars
First, you’ll need the basketball emote unlocked at tier 11 in the paid Battle Pass. Then, you’ll need to find basketball hoops, line up your shot, and make it. The game will give you visual and audio cues when you successfully score. There are many locations with basketball hoops on the map, but each hoop on a basketball court only counts once.
Other locations for basketball hoops include Tilted Towers, Snobby Shores, Retail Row, Paradise Palms, and Junk Junction.

Search Chests in Loot Lake – 5 Stars
Be prepared for more players landing at Loot Lake this week as it’s a central point on the map. There’s a good amount of loot to go around, so explore the factories on the west shore, the boats in the lake, the lakehouses on the north and east shore, and the house on the middle island to find chests.
Search between an oasis, rock archway, and dinosaurs – 10 Stars
This week’s location for this challenge is Paradise Palms, so head there to easily earn 10 stars.
Get 2 Sniper Rifle eliminations – 10 Stars
You’ll need to carefully aim from a distance or finish off an enemy you downed with a sniper rifle to complete this challenge. If you’re not a skilled sniper, you can down an enemy with another weapon and then finish them off with a sniper rifle to count it as a sniper elimination.
