A mysterious anchor appears on the Fortnite: Battle Royale map
Today, a mysterious anchor emerged from the portal located on the mountain between Greasy Grove and Snobby Shores.
Over the past week, rifts have been appearing at various locations on the Fortnite map since the rocket launch on June 30. These portals can also be found at Lonely Lodge, Motel, Tomato Town, Retail Row, and Greasy Grove.
Approximately 24 hours after the appearance of these portals, the rifts grew stronger, consuming or destroying signs and parts of buildings in each location.

However, the most recent portal discovered between Greasy Grove and Snobby Shores is unique in a few aspects. Unlike the others, this portal is not situated near any structures or buildings, and instead of destruction, it has introduced an anchor to the Fortnite map.
Nonetheless, this anchor has left Fortnite players with more questions. What does it signify, and why is it here? Could it be teasing something new for season five?
Fortnite players will need to exercise patience and wait for more information on the significance of these portals and rifts for the game’s future.
