Fortnite Mobile Surpasses 100 Million Downloads

Fortnite Mobile Reaches 100 Million Downloads in Just Five Months

Fortnite has achieved a new milestone, with its mobile version reaching an estimated 100 million downloads in just five months. This impressive feat was announced by third-party firm Apptopia.

While an Android version of the game has yet to be introduced, it is worth noting that these impressive numbers were achieved solely on the iOS platform. There is still no announcement regarding the release date of the Android version, and recent leaks suggest that it may not even be available on the Google Play Store.

In addition to the staggering number of downloads, Apptopia also revealed that Fortnite has generated $160 million in revenue from in-app purchases. Players in May and June alone contributed 2.7 billion hours of gameplay. These figures make it clear that Fortnite has become a major phenomenon in the mobile gaming world.

However, Fortnite is not the only game to achieve this impressive milestone in a short period of time. According to Apptopia, Super Mario Run and Pokémon Go both reached 100 million downloads in 68 and 71 days respectively. It is important to note that Fortnite has taken twice as long to reach this mark, but this is mainly due to its availability only on one platform while the other games are available on multiple platforms.

In the future, as Fortnite’s Android edition is released, it is expected that these numbers will continue to grow. With its strong hold on players, it will be interesting to see how much the downloads and revenue will increase in the coming months.
