Fortnite: Loot Lake island floats over corrupt area near Pleasant Park

Fortnite’s Floating Island Continues to Move, Raising Speculation About its Next Destination

The cube’s influence over Fortnite: Battle Royale didn’t end with the last season as many believed. Now embedded in the bottom of the Loot Lake island, the cube is causing the island to float and move around the map. Currently, the island is heading towards the corrupted areas left by the cube.

Floating Island Follows the Trail of Destruction

As the floating island began its movement, Twitter users theorized that it would visit the spots where the cube left burned runes. It seems like they were right, as the island is now floating above the area where the seventh rune was created near Pleasant Park.

Changes to the Corrupted Areas

As the floating island reached the corrupted area, the landscape underwent changes. Volcanic pits emerged, capable of launching players into the air, and the actual rune symbol is now floating below Loot Lake island. Additionally, the cube has reportedly started expanding underground on the island.

Next Destination Uncertain

While some fans believe the island will head to the sixth rune near Lazy Links, there is no confirmation yet. Some players have even noticed a glitch that shows the island appearing near Salty Springs on their map, indicating another potential destination.

Regardless of where the island goes next, Fortnite fans eagerly await each development with anticipation.
