Fortnite Introduces One Shot Limited Time Mode Featuring Low Gravity and Abundance of Sniper Rifles

A New Limited Time Mode, One Shot, Arrives in Fortnite: Battle Royale

Fortnite: Battle Royale introduces a new Limited Time Mode called One Shot with the release of the v7.20 update today.

This mode offers a highly dynamic and fast-paced Squads gameplay. Players will have access only to Sniper Rifles for shooting and Bandages for healing, disabling all other guns. The Semi-Auto Sniper Rifle and Bounce Pad trap will also be available in this game mode.

The mode is appropriately named One Shot because players start with only 50 health, making them vulnerable to elimination with just one shot from any Sniper.

In addition, One Shot features low gravity, resembling the Gravity Stones from season four. This grants players the ability to jump higher and be immune to fall damage. It also includes a Blitz-like mode with significantly reduced wait times for storms throughout the match.

Unlike other Limited Time Modes, One Shot does not have increased rates of material harvesting, and players do not spawn with the new Glider Redeploy item. Instead, the item can be found in regular loot during gameplay.

One Shot serves as the perfect mode for players to test the changes Epic made to Sniper Rifles in the latest update. Players can experiment with the new red dot reticle when scoping, the updated bullet trajectories, and confirm if the scoped aim is no longer off-center.

Once the server downtime for update v7.20 concludes this morning, One Shot will be available to all Fortnite: Battle Royale players.
