Leak suggests gifting Battle Pass could be coming to Fortnite in season nine
A recent leak, discovered by FNBRLeaks, has revealed that players might soon have the ability to gift a Battle Pass to another player in Fortnite.
This feature was found in Fortnite’s data files and would allow players to purchase a Battle Pass for someone on their friends list. It is likely to be part of Fortnite’s existing gifting system.
Currently, players can only send cosmetic items from the Item Shop through the gifting feature. Therefore, expanding the system to include the Battle Pass would be a smart move for Epic Games.
It is surprising that the ability to gift a Battle Pass does not already exist. The Battle Pass offers exclusive in-game content for a specific season and is a source of significant revenue for Epic. Allowing players to gift it to others seems like an obvious choice.
It should be noted that Epic Games has not confirmed the introduction of gifting a Battle Pass in season nine. The new season is expected to start at the beginning of May.
