Fortnite community unites in collective effort to uncover chests near Paradise Palms by digging out dirt

Fortnite Players on Global Treasure Quest in Paradise Palms

The worldwide quest to uncover treasure chests in Fortnite: Battle Royale has begun. Players are now excavating big dirt chunks near Paradise Palms in search of valuable loot.

An area west of Paradise Palms has caught the attention of players. Several bulldozers were spotted facing a square filled with dirt. The sound of treasure chests could be heard from underneath the dirt, prompting players to use their pickaxes and break apart the chunks in hopes of finding them.

Each dirt chunk has a massive 500 million health points. However, players have noticed that the health gradually decreases over time.

Interestingly, whenever a player destroys one of these dirt chunks in a match, it affects all players globally. This means that the health decrease is caused by players worldwide breaking apart the same chunks in their matches. The state of these chunks for one player is reflected in the experience of all others simultaneously.

Once a dirt chunk is destroyed, there is no going back. Today, we have already witnessed two treasure chests being revealed and other chunks rapidly losing health. Once all dirt chunks are gone, players will have collectively transformed a small area of the Fortnite island permanently. It remains uncertain if there are additional items or areas hidden under the dirt chunks.

In the past, a similar event took place during season seven when players destroyed an iceberg near Happy Hamlet. However, all that was uncovered was an ordinary bunker that offered no special rewards. Players were unable to enter and explore its contents.

Unlike the previous event, this time Fortnite players have the potential to create an engaging area filled with numerous treasure chests once the digging is complete.
