The High Stakes event start date has been changed

The highly anticipated High Stakes event for Fortnite: Battle Royale was originally set to begin on a certain date, but it has been moved to Thursday, Sep. 6.

Epic Games, the developer of Fortnite: Battle Royale, announced on Twitter today that they encountered a critical controller issue before the release of the v5.40 update. Due to this problem, the High Stakes event has been postponed by two days.

The v5.40 update of Fortnite is expected to bring exciting new additions, including a grappling gun, a Getaway LTM, and a customizable High Stakes event skin. These details were revealed at PAX West during a special preview played by popular Fortnite community members.

The v5.40 update is likely to be released on Thursday, Sept. 6, in the morning, along with the Season Five Week Nine challenges.
