Fortnite: Battle Royale’s building system set for significant enhancements

Fortnite: Battle Royale 3.0 Update Brings Exciting Building Improvements

The highly anticipated 3.0 update for Fortnite: Battle Royale is set to roll out tomorrow, and it just keeps getting better. Epic Games has announced that the update will include significant improvements to the game’s building system.

The update introduces four major changes to how building works, with each improvement surpassing the last. The goal is to allow players to seamlessly engage in battles while still being able to construct crucial structures.

The first improvement is Turbo Building, which enables players to continuously place a selected building piece by holding down primary fire. Epic Games claims that this feature allows players to swiftly “paint” building pieces into the world. It proves to be extremely useful when building walls quickly for protection or sprinting up ramps while building simultaneously.

The second change is the addition of automatic material swapping. This feature detects when your current building materials are depleted and automatically replaces them. It proves invaluable when under fire and desperately trying to build defensive structures.

One of the most exciting updates is the ability to “build through stuff.” Previously, objects such as trees, rocks, and vehicles could obstruct your building progress at the most inconvenient times. However, now players can construct almost anywhere at any time, as long as the structures are supported by terrain and existing buildings.

Lastly, the process of switching between building pieces has been improved for smoother transitions. Epic Games has made changes to the network code, eliminating the need for a round trip to their servers when cycling through different building materials.

The upcoming season three of Battle Royale promises to be a significant update, bringing new skins, gameplay enhancements, fresh music, and more. Players can expect the update to go live tomorrow morning, February 22nd.
