Epic Games Celebrates Chinese New Year with New Fortnite Skin and Weapon
Epic Games is adding some festive flair to Fortnite: Battle Royale in honor of the Chinese New Year. As the Valentine’s Day event comes to a close, the game developer is preparing for the launch of season three by introducing a new skin and weapon with a Chinese mythology theme.
Introducing the Monkey King Wukong Skin and Dragon Axe
The highlight of this update is the Monkey King Wukong skin, which players can purchase for 2,000 V-Bucks, Fortnite’s in-game currency. Alongside the skin, players can also acquire the Dragon Axe for 800 V-Bucks. Additionally, PlayStation 4 players who have PS Plus can get a free skin and glider that were recently added to the game.
The Latest Patch and Its Impact
The launch of this new skin follows the release of Patch 2.5.0, which unfortunately brought along several sound and lag issues for many players. Alongside the new skin, the update also introduced the Impulse Grenade and made changes to the Scoped AR weapon.
