A New Mode and Exciting Updates Coming to Fortnite: Battle Royale
Fortnite: Battle Royale is set to introduce a brand new mode called Getaway, accompanied by a limited time event called “High Stakes.” In this mode, squads must search for a supply drop, obtain a llama jewel, and successfully make it to a van with the jewel in their possession. The High Stakes event will also bring a new customizable outfit called the Wild Card, as well as a High Stakes Challenge to keep players engaged.
A New Gizmo to Enhance Gameplay
Adding to the excitement, Fortnite is about to introduce a new tool known as the grappling gun. This gadget, which players got a glimpse of during PAX West, allows them to zip from one structure to another, similar to the daring heist scenes in movies. However, the grappling gun has limited uses, adding an extra layer of strategy to its utilization.
Release Details
The High Stakes event is expected to unveil on Thursday, September 6 with the v5.40 content update. Players can look forward to experiencing the new Getaway mode, getting their hands on the Wild Card outfit, and embracing the challenges that await them.
