Former Junior Mafia Fortnite team joins Mindfreak

Mindfreak Signs Top Fortnite Players to Join Esports Scene

A leading esports organization in Australia, Mindfreak, has made its mark in the emerging Fortnite: Battle Royale esports scene by signing six talented Fortnite players. The former Junior Mafia team, consisting of ezupAK, neco, Twizz, Westy, Vince, and coach CptnAirwick, will now represent Mindfreak.

Mindfreak is renowned for its dominance in the Oceanic region, making it an ideal home for this exceptional Fortnite team. Alongside Fortnite, Mindfreak also boasts teams in Call of Duty and Heroes of the Storm, demonstrating its prowess across various competitive scenes.

This move by Mindfreak into the world of Fortnite comes as no surprise, given the recent announcement by Epic Games that it will offer a staggering $100 million in prize pools for the first year of competitive play. Many organizations, including TSM and FaZe Clan, are expected to follow suit.

Epic Games’ substantial investment in Fortnite esports validates the decisions made by teams like TSM and FaZe Clan. However, organizations like 100 Thieves, who haven’t yet entered the competitive scene, are now actively seeking talented players to form their own Fortnite lineups.

The success of the weekly Friday Fortnite tournaments, featuring some of the world’s most popular and skilled players, has caught the attention of both fans and esports executives. FaZe Clan’s Turner “Tfue” Tenney and Dennis “Cloak” Lepore triumphed in last week’s tournament, walking away with the grand prize of $10,000.

Mindfreak’s new lineup aspires to secure a spot among the world’s top Fortnite teams and challenge the likes of FaZe Clan as Epic Games’ tournaments kick off.
