Final Rune Near Dusty Divot Activated on Fortnite’s Floating Island

Fortnite’s Floating Island Activates All Seven Runes

The activation of all seven runes on Fortnite’s floating island has finally occurred. The island, which initially appeared at Loot Lake, has now reached the symbol near Dusty Divot.

This completion of the final rune comes after a series of movements that began in late September. The floating island has been making its way towards a different rune every three days.

The first target for the island was near Pleasant Park, then it headed toward Shifty Shafts and the rune northwest of Fatal Fields. Following that, it activated the spot southeast of Retail Row. Most recently, it reached the rune near Lazy Links earlier this week.

As the wind vortex forces the rune symbol out of the ground, volcanic pits also emerge and can propel players into the air. The cube, which is beneath the floating island at Loot Lake, appears to be expanding across the landmass.

With each activated rune, more and larger sections of the cube appear in the floating island’s house and underground area. Initially, the cube had minimal presence above ground, but now there are multiple layers of purple blocks throughout the house.

What will happen next remains unknown. The island made a counterclockwise circle through the Corrupted Areas before settling in the map’s center at its current location.

If the previous pattern continues, the island may start moving again on Sunday. However, anything could happen as nobody knows what to expect at this point.
