FaZe signs a team as the competitive Fortnite scene evolves

FaZe Clan Adds New Fortnite Roster

FaZe Clan, the North American esports organization, has set its sights on Fortnite: Battle Royale’s tremendous success and has recently acquired a new roster to compete in the game.

The roster consists of Dennis “Cloak” Lepore, Thomas “72hrs” Mulligan, Thang “SpaceLyon” Phan, and Brendan “Jaomock” O’Brien, all of whom have active Twitch live streams.

According to a team announcement by FaZe Clan, the organization fully embraces Fortnite as both a game and a community, stating, “Seeing the excitement that this game carries makes it a no brainer to find any means necessary to get more involved—that’s what FaZe Clan is. That’s who we are.”

TSM and Method are also among the big-name organizations that have signed Fortnite teams, even before the competitive scene has fully formed. As the game’s popularity continues to soar online, it seems that FaZe Clan’s commitment to Fortnite will be a long-term one.

Despite Fortnite being an Early Access release, FaZe Clan believes it’s the perfect opportunity to recruit the most talented players for the inevitable competitive scene. The organization stated, “All that was needed was to find the right players who had the passion and drive to compete and were proud to do so as members of FaZe Clan.”

Closing the announcement, FaZe Clan sent a special message to Epic Games, expressing their eagerness to compete and saying, “[w]e want to compete. We are eagerly awaiting the chance to do so. We can’t wait. When you build it, we will come.”
