FaZe Clan secures spot in the grand finals of $20,000 Friday Fortnite tournament

FaZe Clan’s Tfue and Cloak Advance to Grand Finals with Impressive Wins

FaZe Clan’s superstar duo, Turner “Tfue” Tenney and Dennis “Cloak” Lepore, continue to dominate the Fortnite: Battle Royale scene, proving their skills against top players from around the world.

In the fifth Friday Fortnite tournament, FaZe Clan took down talented duos one after another. They started by defeating NoahJ456 and Avery “Avxry” Lopriore in the first round. They followed it up with impressive wins over Nick Eh 30’s team, week two champions Andre “TypicalGamer” Rebolo and Nicholas “Thief” Smorto, and the duo of Tim “TimTheTatman” Betar and Derrick Reaver.

With these four series wins, Tfue and Cloak secured their place in the winners bracket finals, where they faced off against TSM’s Daequan Loco and Juan “CaMiLLs” Camilla. In previous tournaments, FaZe Clan had battled against Daequan and CaMiLLs’ TSM teammates, with wins going back and forth between the teams.

Right from the start, it was clear that this matchup would be intense. In game one, CaMiLLs was eliminated fairly early, giving FaZe Clan a significant advantage. They capitalized on this lead and headed into the second map with a five-kill advantage. In game two, both teams performed exceptionally well, each finishing with nearly 20 kills. However, TSM couldn’t make up for the difference from the first game.

With their victory over TSM, Tfue and Cloak have now reached the grand finals for the second time in five tournaments. They become only the second team in the tournament’s history to achieve this feat. In their first grand finals appearance, they emerged victorious against popular Twitch star Tyler “Ninja” Blevins and KingRichard, winning the grand prize of $10,000 two weeks ago.

While FaZe Clan’s presence in the grand finals comes as no surprise, there were some unexpected results in the tournament. One of the biggest upsets occurred when last week’s champions, TSM’s Myth and Hamlinz, were eliminated by the European duo of Vikram “Vikkstar123” Barn and Tinny in the fourth round of the losers bracket.

Myth and Hamlinz had an outstanding run in the last tournament, winning ten matches in a row through the losers bracket. However, they couldn’t replicate that success this time and were defeated by TimTheTatman and Reaver.

Even the tournament’s most popular player, Ninja, faced a setback and ended up in the losers bracket earlier than expected. In the winners bracket semifinals, Ninja and Jack “CouRage” Dunlop were defeated by Daequan and CaMiLLs, putting them in a difficult position.

Although Ninja and CouRage are still in the tournament, they have a tough road ahead. They need to win three matches just to reach the grand finals and challenge FaZe Clan.

While the event is not yet over, it seems that FaZe Clan is reaching their peak performance. With the advantage of being in the winners bracket, they will be incredibly difficult to stop in the grand finals.
