Exclusive PCB challenges in South Korea offer generous rewards for Fortnite players

Epic Games Preparing Exclusive Fortnite Release for PC Cafés in South Korea

Epic Games, the developer of Fortnite: Battle Royale, is getting ready for a special release of the game in South Korean PC cafés. This exclusive edition of Fortnite will only be available in these cafés and will come with a unique set of challenges designed specifically for café players.

The PCB challenge set was leaked by dataminers and later confirmed by Korean player DrillDriver on Reddit. “PCB” stands for “PC Bang,” which is the term used in Korea for these cafés.

This exclusive set of challenges will reward players with 11,000 XP and 350 V-Bucks. This is the first time players will be able to earn V-Bucks by completing challenges, and the XP reward is higher than the standard weekly Battle Pass challenges in Fortnite.

The Challenges at PC Bangs

  • Find 25 chests
  • Build 250 structures
  • Join 5 matches
  • Join 5 matches with friends
  • Reach Top 12 in Squad mode 10 times
  • Eliminate 20 opponents
  • Join 75 matches
  • Join 50 matches with friends

These challenges cannot be unlocked anywhere else, even with a VPN. Only players in South Korean PC bangs will have access to this exclusive set.

The purpose of this release, according to South Korean players like DrillDriver, may be to increase the popularity of Fortnite in the country. They mention a Fortnite ad featuring actor Chris Pratt, which announced that the game is coming to PC Bangs on November 8. Various ads featuring Pratt have been spotted throughout South Korea in recent weeks.

Another reason for this release might be the addition of the Keyboard King internet café in the v6.22 update.

Exclusive game versions in PC bangs are not uncommon for South Korean players. In PC bangs, customers have access to all League of Legends characters and can also play Overwatch without owning a game license in their personal account.

Epic Games has not commented yet on the possibility of this exclusive release being available in other countries. If they want to expand to South Korea, they will face tough competition from the PC bang giants Overwatch and League of Legends, which dominate playtime in these cafés.
