European Fortnite player tragically passes away during Fall Skirmish finals at TwitchCon

Swedish Fortnite Player Bogdan Passes Away at the Age of 21

G2 Esports’ Dominik “RazZzero0o” Beckmann discovered the body of Bogdan, a Swedish Fortnite player, in San Jose, California between the evening of October 28 and the morning of October 29. Bogdan was only 21 years old.

RazZzero0o, who was teamed up with Bogdan at the Fall Skirmish finals at TwitchCon, shared on TwitLonger that the two of them had planned to explore and visit various places in the city after the competition. RazZzero0o mentioned that he went to sleep a little earlier than Bogdan on October 28. However, when he woke up the next morning and tried to move Bogdan’s arm, he realized that Bogdan had already passed away.

Out of respect for Bogdan’s family and friends, RazZzero0o chose to delay making any public statements about the tragic incident. He believed that the news of Bogdan’s death should not be learned through social media.

RazZzero0o revealed that he and Bogdan had felt immense anxiety and pressure leading up to the tournament. This was their first time traveling to the United States, and they wanted to secure a spot within the top 50 to at least cover their travel expenses.

Fortunately, they achieved their goal and finished in 18th place, earning $10,000. This accomplishment brought relief to the duo as they now had enough money to return home and have enjoyable moments together.

Within the Fortnite esports community, Bogdan is being remembered as a kind, funny, and caring individual. A petition has even been created on Change.org, urging Epic Games to introduce a “Back To Lobby” emote, a phrase Bogdan frequently used after eliminating an opponent.
