Epic issues apologies to Fortnite players with wrongful bans, compensating them with V-Bucks.

The Wrongly-Banned in Fortnite Receive Compensation in V-Bucks

Fortnite players who were mistakenly banned are finally getting justice. Developer Epic Games has started unbanning accounts that should not have been banned in the first place. And as a form of compensation, these unbanned players are receiving 2,000 V-Bucks.

Last night, a Reddit user and a player who was wrongly banned in Fortnite shared an update on the Fortnite: Battle Royale subreddit. Epic sent them a note saying, “We incorrectly banned your account. We’re sorry and will be granting V-Bucks to your account to compensate for the error.”

The awarded amount of V-Bucks, 2,000, is equivalent to around $20. reached out to Epic Games for more information, but the company couldn’t provide additional details about how it is deciding which accounts to unban. Many Fortnite players have been complaining about being falsely accused of cheating or engaging in suspicious behavior.

Naturally, there are numerous jokes on the Reddit post about the Fortnite player accused of cheating by Tyler “Ninja” Blevins. This week, the well-known streamer was eliminated by a player who taunted him after the kill. Ninja reported the player for suspected stream sniping, and this incident has become a meme. (Interestingly, the player who eliminated Ninja did not actually get banned.)

There is no official information regarding how the unbanning process is being carried out, whether it is in waves or happening randomly. If your Fortnite account was unjustly banned, make sure to check your account, as you might have 2,000 V-Bucks waiting for you. That’s like getting a whole new skin!
