The Building Issue in Fortnite: Battle Royale
The building functionality in Fortnite: Battle Royale is currently experiencing some inconsistencies. A clip posted on Reddit highlights the issue, showing that walls and ramps are not building properly inside buildings such as houses and towers. In response to the clip, an Epic Games employee acknowledged the problem and stated that they are investigating the issue.
Problems Arising in Building within Houses
The problem seems to occur when there are obstructions within a one-by-one block room. For instance, a protruding railing can prevent the construction of a structure. Even if the structure is rotated, walls or stairs appear as red on the player’s user interface instead of blue.

Epic Games is currently working on a solution to these issues. Objects like beds, couches, and dressers that can be broken down and used for resources do not seem to affect building. However, there may be other factors contributing to the problem.
