Epic Games to Disable Glider Re-Deploying in Fortnite’s v6.3 Update

Epic Games Removes Glider Re-Deploy in Fortnite: Battle Royale

Epic Games has made the decision to remove the glider re-deploy functionality in Fortnite: Battle Royale. This change will affect the Solos, Duos, and Squads game modes. The decision comes just two weeks after the mechanic was introduced into the game.

Community Feedback and Concerns

The Fortnite community had expressed growing concerns about the game becoming too fast-paced, reckless, and less enjoyable. The glider re-deploy mechanic allowed players to quickly traverse the map without any repercussions for being high in the sky. Additionally, it made other modes of transportation, such as the all-terrain kart, the quadcrasher, and the bouncepad, less relevant.

Changes in Gameplay

The glider re-deploy functionality will still be available in larger team modes like Soaring ’50s and Disco Domination. It will also remain in Playground mode, allowing for continued experimentation with its functionality in the game and the competitive meta.
