Epic Games Temporarily Disables Shadow Stones in Fortnite: Battle Royale
Epic Games has once again decided to disable one of the newest consumable items in Fortnite: Battle Royale, the Shadow Stones. This is the second time in two days that the item has been disabled.
The decision to disable the Shadow Stones was made due to an unspecified issue. Epic Games made the announcement on Twitter.
The Shadow Stones, found in the “corrupted” areas of the map, allowed players to activate “Shadow Form.” This form provided various benefits, including invisibility while stationary, increased movement speed and jump height, and immunity to fall damage.
While the specific issue with the Shadow Stones remains unknown, it was initially disabled from the game at 4:27pm CT yesterday. However, it was re-enabled at 10:36am CT today, coinciding with the temporary removal of the Port-a-Fortress item.
Less than 12 hours later, the Shadow Stones have been disabled once again. Fortnite players can expect Epic Games to work diligently to find a solution for the issue affecting this new item.
