Epic Games Likely to Prolong Season 4 in Fortnite: Battle Royale

A Delay in Fortnite Challenges Causes Upset Among Players

Fortnite: Battle Royale players were disappointed this morning to find out that the latest set of challenges had not been added to the game as expected.

Epic Games announced earlier today that they intentionally pushed back the new week of challenges from today to Thursday, May 31.

Some players were worried that this two-day delay would affect their ability to complete their Battle Pass. However, Epic employee JustMooney1 addressed these concerns on Reddit.

JustMooney1 confirmed that weekly challenges will now be updated every Thursday for the remainder of season four to prevent any issues if the weekly rollover is delayed. He acknowledged that Epic Games made a mistake and promised to provide advance notice in the future.

In response to a question about the impact of the two-day delay on the end of season four, JustMooney1 stated that Epic will likely extend the season and inform players ahead of time.

This gesture from Epic demonstrates their commitment to giving players a fair chance to maximize their Battle Pass.

The highly-anticipated update, which will introduce drivable Shopping Carts and other changes, is expected to arrive on Thursday. The season four, week five challenges will also go live in Fortnite on May 31 at 3am CT.
