Epic Games Announces Fortnite’s Anti-Cheating Measures in Upcoming Game Integrity Blog

Epic Games to Release Game Integrity Blog on Monitoring Fortnite Competitions

Epic Games will be launching a game integrity blog later this week to provide insights into how it monitors official online Fortnite competitions, according to a spokesperson from the company. The blog will delve into the various metrics used to actively monitor all official competitions, as well as the additional monitoring and thorough investigations conducted for World Cup Qualifying players.

Epic Games’ Commitment to Fortnite Competition Integrity

An Epic spokesperson emphasized the importance of maintaining the integrity of Fortnite competitions, stating that they are dedicated to ongoing and future efforts in this area. The upcoming integrity blog will provide a detailed account of their initiatives.

Player Accused of Cheating in Fortnite World Cup Qualifiers

Epic Games’ announcement comes shortly after accusations were made towards a player named Dubs fn, regarding cheating during the Fortnite World Cup Qualifiers in the North America East region. Dubs fn secured one of the region’s six spots for the Solo Finals in July. Since then, cheat providers and fellow players have accused him of using soft cheats, such as aimbots, during the qualifiers.

Response from Fortnite Pro Players and Streamers

Various Fortnite pro players and streamers have weighed in on the accusations, with prominent figures like Turner “Tfue” Tenney mocking the idea of a cheater qualifying for the tournament.

Epic Games has refrained from commenting specifically on Dubs fn’s case. It remains uncertain if the company will eventually address the issue or provide updates on ongoing investigations. Despite the allegations, Dubs fn is still listed as a qualified player on Epic’s official Fortnite World Cup website and has denied any wrongdoing.
