Epic confirms release of Fortnite’s v8.30 update tomorrow

Fortnite: Battle Royale v8.30 Update Set for Tomorrow

April 10 at 4 am CT: The v8.30 patch notes are now available.

Tomorrow at 4 am CT, Fortnite: Battle Royale will undergo the v8.30 update. Server downtime will begin at this time in order to carry out maintenance and implement the update on all game servers.

Just before the start of server downtime, players will likely have access to the full list of changes in the patch notes, as is customary. The v8.30 update appears to be a significant one that will have a lasting impact on the Fortnite meta, particularly in team-based game modes.

We have some information about what to expect in the update. The game will introduce Reboot Vans, allowing players to revive their allies after elimination and giving them a second chance in a match. Additionally, contrary to previous reports, The Baller will not be significantly weakened, and players cannot shoot the driver through the vehicle’s glass before it explodes.

What remains unclear, but could potentially be part of the update, is the development of the helicopter and the digging sites, which have yet to reveal their purpose to Fortnite fans. These areas have been relatively uneventful, leaving players eager to discover if they will lead to something significant.

These are the primary expected changes in the v8.30 update, but there may be surprises in store. While many players have been hoping for a return of the siphon mechanics, it is unlikely that Epic Games will reverse the changes anytime soon, especially given the introduction of Reboot Vans.

Players who are excited to experience the new update can log in a few hours after the server downtime to explore all the changes implemented in Fortnite.
