Epic confirms Fortnite’s “Limited Pool” error as a mere visual glitch

Fortnite Players Encounter “Limited Pool” Error After v8.11 Update

Following the v8.11 update, some Fortnite: Battle Royale players have noticed a new error. While in the lobby waiting to search for a match, a yellow warning sign reading “Limited Pool” may appear in the bottom right corner under the game mode name. However, this issue is merely a visual bug and will be fixed with the next Epic Games update for Fortnite.

Concerns about Cross-Play and Matchmaking

Most players who discussed the issue on Reddit were PlayStation 4 users. Initially, they speculated that the “limited pool” error indicated that cross-play was disabled, resulting in a smaller matchmaking pool and potentially longer queue times. However, players who received the message confirmed that cross-play was already enabled. Some suggested that the error could be related to server limitations or the implementation of skill-based matchmaking, as there weren’t enough players within the same skill level to start a match. Despite the error message, players did not experience any difficulties accessing matches or facing extended queue times.

Visual Bug with No Impact on Matchmaking

The appearance of the “limited pool” message in Fortnite is purely a visual glitch and does not affect players’ ability to join matches. It is expected to be resolved in the near future.
