Epic Collaborates with Nintendo to Address Critical Fortnite Bugs on Switch

The Nintendo Switch version of Fortnite: Battle Royale has encountered significant bugs that are negatively impacting the player’s experience and rendering the game unplayable for some players. Nintendo and Epic Games are collaborating to resolve these issues.

Some of the reported problems pertain to in-game models and environments, which are not rendering properly. Additionally, these issues have escalated with each update, resulting in poor loading performance. Certain bugs have even caused players to fall through the map and perish in an empty void. These issues need to be addressed in order for the Fortnite experience on the Nintendo Switch to be on par with other versions of the game.

Fortunately, Epic Games is actively working to rectify the problems associated with the Switch version of the game. The team is diligently collaborating with Nintendo to identify the root cause of the issues and aims to resolve most of the major problems with patch 5.40.

In the meantime, Epic Games has provided a temporary workaround for some of the game’s issues. Players who have installed the game on an SD card may want to consider installing it onto the console’s internal storage instead to alleviate slow load times.
