Details and prize pool distribution for Fortnite’s Luxe Cup revealed

Epic Games Announces Fortnite Duos Luxe Cup

Epic Games has unveiled details about the upcoming online Fortnite Duos Luxe Cup. This tournament, which will take place this weekend, will be the first to utilize the new Fortnite Arena Mode and its Divisions system as a qualification filter for participants.

Regional Divisions

The Luxe Cup will be divided into various regions, including North America East and West, Europe, Brazil, Oceania, and Asia. A total of $100,000 in prize money will be awarded across all regions.

Competition Format

In the Duos Arena Mode, players in the Contenders League will unlock the Luxe Cup semifinals on Saturday. They will have up to three hours to play a maximum of 10 matches and accumulate as many points as possible to advance to the Finals. On Sunday, the Finals will take place within the same three-hour window, featuring the top 1,500 teams from each region competing for the tournament title.

Prize Distribution

Epic Games has made adjustments to the prize distribution in comparison to previous tournaments like the Scallywag and the Blackheart Cup. While the best players will receive nearly twice as much as in the Blackheart Cup, the number of players awarded has been significantly reduced.

Participant Requirements

All players must have an account level of 15 or higher and enable two-factor authentication to qualify for the Luxe Cup. The complete breakdown of the prize pool distribution can be found in Epic’s announcement for the Luxe Cup.
