Dataminers uncover new cosmetics in Fortnite 5.0 update
The popular YouTube duo, @TwoEpicBuddies, known for their Fortnite datamining skills, have struck again, revealing a plethora of new cosmetics from the game’s latest 5.0 update.
Their findings include an assortment of new skins, pickaxes, and gliders. It remains uncertain whether these items will be part of the Battle Pass or available for purchase using V-Bucks in the coming weeks.
New outfits and back bling
Among the new outfits are a fierce viking, male and female luchadors, a shark-costumed character, a soldier, and a mysterious individual sporting a black and purple hoodie. Some of these outfits come with accompanying back bling, such as a shark fin for the shark-inspired character.
Progressive skins and secret skin
In an intriguing discovery, @TwoEpicBuddies have also found that two of the skins will evolve as players progress through Season 5, starting off simple but becoming incredibly badass once maxed out. Additionally, just like in Season 4, there will be a secret skin to unlock.
New gliders, pickaxes, and contrails
Alongside the new skins, the datamine also revealed impressive new gliders, including a viking ship and a rescue boat, as well as gliders that match the new skins. Players can also expect new pickaxes that pair perfectly with these items. Notably, the dataminers also discovered unique contrails, such as hearts, ice, and even unrolling toilet paper, which appear when players jump from the battle bus. Additionally, there are several new emotes to look forward to.
