Countdown Timer for Fortnite’s Missile Launch Now Visible in Villain’s Base

Fortnite: Battle Royale Teases Impending Doom with Mysterious Countdown

After the recent 4.4 update in Fortnite: Battle Royale, players have noticed a new holographic countdown, adding to the anticipation of what’s to come.

Early this morning, a user named “AnarchyDT” discovered an image of the countdown and shared it on Reddit. The image depicts a foreboding scene.

Previously, the countdown was only visible on televisions in the Switch version of the game, with the villain’s base projecting a hologram of a missile. However, now the countdown is directly in front of the giant rocket inside the base, suggesting that something significant is about to happen. The timer is set to end on Saturday, June 23, which raises even more questions.

Data mining efforts have revealed that the rocket may become available for in-game launching, possibly as early as today. It remains unclear if this will be a short-term gameplay mechanic or a more substantial event.

This isn’t the first time Fortnite has teased upcoming changes. In the past, the game hinted at a meteor strike that transformed the map and introduced new items. It’s highly likely that the current countdown is another indication of significant alterations in the game.

The current season, season four, is scheduled to end in a few weeks, with week 10 challenges unlocking on July 5. It’s plausible that the new season, along with its big event, will commence as early as July 10 or as late as July 12.

As of now, it seems that Fortnite is gearing up for another major explosion of excitement.
