Console players will be able to use controller binds in Season 6 of Fortnite: Battle Royale

Fortnite: Battle Royale introduces customizable controller bindings in season six update

Good news for Fortnite players using controllers – the game is finally getting support for controller binds. Epic Games announced in a recent Reddit post that the upcoming v6.0 update, also known as season six, will include customizable controller bindings. This means players will have the ability to assign in-game actions to any button they prefer, similar to how binds are assigned on PC. This new feature aims to enhance player comfort and customization, without providing any unfair advantages during gameplay.

According to Aaron Eady, the senior technical designer at Epic Games, the customizable binds will have its own controller configuration. In addition, combat and building modes will be selectable by triggers. Eady also confirmed in the Reddit post that there will be a quicker edit binding option, allowing for faster building edits. This means players will be able to make edits almost instantaneously, providing them with a competitive edge.

Ongoing Improvements and Future Updates

Epic Games plans to continue working on the functionality of controller binds in future updates, seeking to perfect the experience for players. This shows their commitment to creating an optimal gaming experience for Fortnite users, regardless of their platform or input method.
