Bug in Fortnite’s Overtime challenge bars players from claiming free Season 8 Battle Pass

Fortnite: Battle Royale Players Encounter Bug with Overtime Challenges

Some players in Fortnite: Battle Royale who have completed 13 Overtime challenges to unlock the free season eight Battle Pass are encountering a problem when trying to claim their prize.

According to several players on Reddit, their progress in completing the challenges is not being added to the Battle Pass challenge. Instead of counting all 13 challenges, the game is only recognizing 12.

Developer Epic Games has acknowledged the issue and has identified that the problem lies with the bus driver challenge.

Epic Games tweeted, “We’re aware of an issue preventing progression for the ‘Thank the Bus Driver’ Overtime Challenge. All players who have completed this Challenge will receive credit for their progress once we’ve released the fix.”

Players began speculating that the bug was related to the “Thank the Bus Driver in Different Matches” challenge before Epic Games confirmed it. It appears that the bug occurs when players complete this challenge before completing all 13 challenges.

If you haven’t completed the Overtime challenges yet, it is recommended to skip the bus driver challenge until you have completed 13 other challenges. Since the issue is specific to this challenge, you should still be able to claim your Battle Pass for the next season.
