Bounce Pads make a comeback in the latest Fortnite update

The Bounce Pad Returns to Fortnite: Battle Royale in a New Update

The classic Bounce Pad has made a comeback in Fortnite: Battle Royale with a recent content update.

The new pad combines elements of the previous vertical and horizontal jump pads that were originally in the game. This should not be confused with the current Jump Pad item, which replaced the older versions.

The new Bounce Pad can now be placed on ceilings, walls, and floors. It can launch friends or foes a certain distance, throwing them off track. Players can utilize it to quickly escape a closing storm or to surprise opponents by knocking them off a cliff.

This trap was recently discovered through datamining. It is a rare item that can be found in stacks of three at any loot location in the game. If it proves to be useful and powerful, it will likely become a common sight in matches.

In addition to the Bounce Pad, there are hints of another new trap coming to the game. Recent datamining revealed files referencing a Ceiling Drop Trap, which drops a stack of tires onto enemies in the “Save the World” game mode. This suggests that Epic Games is expanding the selection of traps and promoting base building in Battle Royale mode as a way to further develop the game.

As of now, it is uncertain if this content update is the only new addition for the week, or if there will be a further patch on Thursday. There are no in-game advertisements for upcoming items.
