Bottle Rockets vaulted, Clingers and Infantry Rifle adjusted in Fortnite.

A New Fortnite Update is Here

The latest update for Fortnite, v8.01, has just been released. Earlier today, Epic Games shared the patch notes with players, revealing all the exciting changes that come with it.

Weapson and Consumables Changes

In this update, Epic Games has made specific changes to weapons and consumable items. They have introduced the Buried Treasure item to both chests and floor loot, while also adjusting the spawn rates of Infantry Rifles and Clingers. As for the Bottle Rockets, they have been completely vaulted.

This means that Bottle Rockets will no longer appear in the default playlists of Fortnite, such as Solo, Duos, and Squads, as well as in all Limited Time Modes and Events, unless specified otherwise (as in the Unvaulted mode). However, they may still be found in LTMs focused on explosive items, like High Explosives, when they make a return to Fortnite.

The availability of the Infantry Rifle has been slightly reduced in chests by about one percent, and in floor loot by only 0.2 percent. This may have a small impact on how frequently this weapon is found during matches. On the other hand, Clingers have seen a significant decrease in their spawn rate, going from 9.42 percent chance of appearing from chests to 5.52 percent.

Therefore, players can expect to find fewer Clingers and slightly fewer Infantry Rifles in their matches. While these changes may not have a major impact on the overall Fortnite metagame, it is important for players to use their Clingers wisely moving forward, as there are no major new items with similar effects to compensate for these changes.

Players will have the opportunity to experience the effects of these weapon and item changes in their matches as soon as the server downtime for the Fortnite v8.01 update is over and the servers are back online.
