Another Deadly Area Discovered in Fortnite, Adding to Instant Death Spots

A New Dangerous Spot Discovered in Fortnite: Battle Royale

In yet another surprising turn of events, a new instant death spot has been discovered in Fortnite: Battle Royale, just a week after players mysteriously died in the Fork Knife area.

Player Charis38 recently shared a video showcasing their experience using The Baller southwest of the volcano. As they flew over a hill, they noticed some loot on the ground. Charis safely landed, collected some items, but then met an untimely demise, receiving the message “you eliminated yourself.” The kill feed indicated that Charis “didn’t stick the landing,” as if they had fallen from a height of 31m.

It’s difficult to understand what exactly happened to Charis before they were abruptly eliminated, but the presence of loot on the ground suggests that someone else may have encountered the same fate at that very spot.

Several players have shared their theories on the Reddit thread. Some speculate that this could be a bug with The Baller, as others have reported experiencing similar deaths when using the vehicle in the same location. Despite its ability to prevent fall damage, The Baller might somehow trigger fall damage upon touching this particular spot, even after a safe landing.

Alternatively, this spot could be just another instant death area in Fortnite. Apart from the Fork Knife spot, another one was found at The Block roughly a week ago. Prior to the release of Season Eight in late February, no instances of instant death tiles were reported or found by players. However, for reasons still unknown, these spots have begun to emerge since then.

As of now, developer Epic Games has not confirmed whether they are investigating this issue or if they have found a solution.
