All the Latest Updates on Fortnite Season Seven’s Earthquakes

Fortnite Players Experience Earthquakes During Matches

Players of the popular game Fortnite have recently reported feeling earthquakes during their matches. The first report of this phenomenon occurred on February 5th, and there is still limited information regarding the impact these earthquakes will have on the game if more occur.

However, players are aware that the end of each season in Fortnite tends to bring about unusual events. In the previous season, players witnessed a massive iceberg with a winter cloud surrounding it in the southwestern corner of the map. This occurred a few weeks before the season came to an end towards the end of last year.

Similarly, at the end of season five in September, there was a mysterious cube known as Kevin that covered Loot Lake and turned it into a floating island when season six began.

Through a combination of player reports and information leaked by data miners, we have gathered some knowledge about these earthquakes occurring in season seven of Fortnite: Battle Royale.

Pre-Earthquake Discoveries

Fortnite leaker FortTory discovered evidence of an earthquake hitting the Battle Royale island a few days before the first tremor took place. After the v7.30 update, FortTory found a hidden folder named “earthquake” within another folder called “events.” Although no similar incidents had been reported by players at that time, this discovery provided a clue that ground tremors could be forthcoming in Fortnite, with potential consequences.

The Start of the Earthquakes

On February 5th, players started reporting ground tremors during their Battle Royale matches. These earthquakes caused the ground to shake profusely and produced an unfamiliar loud noise. Despite the earthquake being brief, it did not result in any significant changes to the island. Players were left with a sense that the leaked information about earthquakes might indeed be accurate.

A few players also reported experiencing tremors on February 6th.

After the Earthquakes Started

As of now, the initial earthquakes have not resulted in much damage to the Fortnite island. However, other leakers have discovered hints indicating that several more earthquakes may occur throughout the season, and each subsequent one will be stronger than the last.

Leaker Lucas7yoshi has revealed more information about the upcoming earthquakes. He discovered a game file related to these tremors, which includes variables such as “Quakes” with values ranging from zero to one, and “NumberOfEvents” set to 50.

If the tremor experienced on February 5th was the first earthquake, there could potentially be 49 more before the end of the season. The “Quakes” variable likely indicates the strength of each earthquake, with the first tremor set at 0.018 and the last one predicted to be 0.756. This suggests that the final earthquake could be significantly stronger than the initial one.

It remains to be seen if these earthquakes will cause any changes to the Fortnite island. If they do, these changes may become noticeable in the coming days as the tremors intensify. Potential changes could include the formation of cracks around the island or the emergence of new hills and mountains.

We will continue to update this article as new information about the Fortnite earthquakes becomes available.
