A Possible Approach to the Gifting System in Fortnite: Battle Royale

Fortnite: Battle Royale Gifting System Leaked

A highly-anticipated feature for Fortnite: Battle Royale fans, the gifting system is making waves in the popular game. Thanks to leaker @The1Jaren, we now have a glimpse of what this system could look like.

A gifting system in Fortnite would allow players to purchase emotes, skins, and other in-game items for their friends. This rumor first surfaced in April when a Reddit user discovered datamined information revealing preliminary files. The rumors were further expanded upon in July by @FNBRLeaks.

According to the leaked video, players will see a new button below “purchase” in the Item Shop called “Buy As a Gift” once gifting is officially added to Fortnite.

From there, players can select the recipients of their gifts from their friends list. They can even personalize the gift with a custom message. However, the screen does mention that gifts sent to oneself cannot be returned.

Based on the recipient screen, it appears that there may be limitations on how frequently players can send gifts to specific individuals.

Although Epic Games has not confirmed the gifting system, it seems poised to be added to Fortnite in the near future. Perhaps Epic will introduce gifting just in time for the holiday season this winter.
