A Guide on Utilizing Party Assist in Fortnite for Challenges

Introducing the New Party Assist Feature in Fortnite Season 8

Fortnite: Battle Royale players can now find it easier to complete their daily and weekly challenges with the release of season eight. A great new feature called Party Assist allows squadmates to help each other progress through challenges, making it a more collaborative and enjoyable experience. Instead of struggling to complete challenges alone, players can now work together, combining their progress and achievements.

How to Activate Party Assist

In order to activate Party Assist, players must create a party before the match begins. It’s important to note that players who join your party in the spawn island by selecting “Fill” before queuing up are not included in the Party Assist system. Additionally, allies in big-team modes who are not part of your lobby party are also excluded. To enable Party Assist, you must have an active daily or weekly challenge. Challenges that have already been completed will not have the option to activate Party Assist.

Activating Party Assist

To activate Party Assist, follow these simple steps. First, gather your party before the match. Then, navigate to the Challenges tab in the top menu. Select the challenge you want help with and click on the down arrow or corresponding button to open a drop-down menu. Look for the blue Party Assist button and click it to turn on Party Assist for that challenge. Once you drop into a match, your friends will be able to assist you in progressing through the chosen challenge.

Party Assist Details

It’s important to note that Party Assist is a one-way system. While actions performed by your allies will contribute to your challenge progression, the same does not apply to their challenges if Party Assist is not turned on. For example, if your entire party has the same challenge of opening seven chests at Sunny Steps, but only you have turned on Party Assist, your challenge progression will count the chests opened by all party members at that location. However, your allies’ challenges will only count the chests they individually open. Additionally, challenges that your friends complete with Party Assist will not grant you any benefits.

If you’re struggling with daily or Battle Pass challenges in season eight, gather some friends and turn on Party Assist to make it easier to earn those Battle Stars. Embrace collaboration and conquer challenges together.
