Something Unique Happening in Fortnite with Recent Lightning Strikes and the Cube

In Fortnite: Battle Royale, there is a large purple cube at the spot where a lightning strike has been spotted.

Just like last season’s rocket launch, Epic Games seems to have something incredibly unique planned with these lightning strikes and the appearance of the cube.

Thanks to a cinematic point of view provided by @LootLakeBR on Twitter, it appears that a powerful lightning strike was responsible for the cube’s appearance. The reasons behind the cube’s presence and what it may lead to are uncertain, but it’s certainly intriguing to speculate about the possibilities.

When you land or climb on the cube, it bounces you into the air and grants you shields. Additionally, there have been reports of flashing symbols and noises emanating from the cube. It seems that shooting the cube excessively can result in death.

Just like the cracks in the sky caused by the rocket launch in season four, the lightning strikes may prove to be the catalyst for significant changes in this season’s map.
